Intersex Asia announces departure of Gopi Shankar Madurai from the Executive Board

27th September 2020.

Gopi Shankar Madurai officially communicated their decision to step down from the Executive Board of Intersex Asia on 1st September 2020. The IA board accepted ze’s resignation on 27th September 2020.

Ze played an important role in the early years of Intersex Asia as well as the intersex human rights movement. We appreciate his contribution to Intersex Asia and wish him the best of success for his new role as the member of National Council for Transgender Persons and also part of the Expert Committee constituted by Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

We believe that ze will continue to serve the intersex human rights in India and across the world.
